So, it can be treated as meta data that the "user" can attach and read, that isn't used anywhere in the low-level argobots implementation?

Hi Benjamin,

The rank is just an ID allocated to each XStream that can be retrieved via ABT_xstream_get_rank() or ABT_xstream_self_rank(). By default, it is unique among all the running XStreams. The ABT user can also decide to manage the ID itself through ABT_xstream_create_with_rank() or ABT_xstream_set_rank().

I have started to play around with Argobots, and I have a first (of many) questions: what is the "rank" of an execution stream (i.e. the value set by ABT_xstream_get_rank)?

I also found a small bug in the error handling code, which I made a PR for on the GitHub site:
